Spin was designed with a strong visual concept in mind. That being said, a well-thought out visual program will make this show all the better. Use circles in drill design, moving along circular pathways, as well as individuals rotating. Music was written that flowed, bore minimalistic influences (representing a cycle), and utilized different modalities to give a lack of a sense of resolve (representing a circle having no beginning and no end). Spin was intentionally designed as an abstract concept show that doesn’t need or require voice-overs to convey the story. Blair Williams (Blue Devils, Mandarins, Freelancers Winter, eNVision, University of Nevada) joins forces with Brian Aguilar and scored the battery parts.
