ABOUT THE PIECE:

Visual ideas abound instantly with Spin… circular drill forms, pathways, body movements, and use of props are all possibilities with this show.  This is a great piece for a group looking to develop their show concept without use of narration.  Arpeggios, repeated scale passages, and repeated rhythmic patterns all serve to connect the music to the visual theme.

Spin was commissioned by Mr. Tim Decker for the Rancho Cotate Winter Percussion group for the Winter 2016 season.
