ABOUT THE PIECE:
Fun and challenging, “La Cucaracha” (Spanish for “The Cockroach”) is a traditional Spanish folk corrido that became popular in Mexico during the Mexican Revolution.
This Grade 1+ arrangement with battery parts arranged by Matt Lowe and mallet/auxiliary percussion arranged by Brian Aguilar, is a good challenge for a beginning drumline with the tempo at 172 bpm and some syncopated mallet rhythms.
