ABOUT THE PIECE:
Commissioned by Mr. Kevin Cato and written for Mt. Eden High School in the Fall of 2011 by Brian Aguilar, this high-energy and dissonant piece was written specifically for use as a street percussion piece.  The use of octatonic scales creates a sense of tension and anticipation throughout.  The piece is further fueled by the 172 b.p.m. tempo marking. High energy, aggressive, and fun!
