Requiem was inspired by a real-life tragedy and subsequent struggle to overcome the devastation.  I developed this metaphoric story line in which the audience follows a tormented soul’s journey through the afterlife, beginning with the funeral, through the trials and tribulations of the afterlife, and ultimately culminating with the soul finding forgiveness and peace. Requiem features Chopin’s Marche Funebre, Mozart’s Requiem, the spiritual Amazing Grace, as well as addition original material.
